In-depth Case Study
This was a design and build project, where Enlighten bridged the gap between the wishes of the client and the building contractor. Given the various parameters imposed by both parties, Enlighten were keen to utilise LED technology, which at the time was very much in its infancy. The advantages of LEDs, with respect to low running and maintenance costs, made it an ideal solution that satisfied everyone’s criteria.
Working closely with University staff, builders ROK and architect Craig Gill, Enlighten designed, installed and commissioned LED colour changing lights, floodlights, linear fittings and spotlights throughout the impressive building’s studios, walkways and central corridor, which forms the hub of the new £15 million development.
Enlighten also installed lighting scene selections into the University’s television production, dance and photographic studios, which can be adjusted using a DMX lighting control system to provide industry standard facilities.
